Vision and Mission

Under the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, in the light of the Millennium Development Goals (GGO) and the Poverty Alleviation Strategy Paper (PGE) for women's development and gender equality, taking and implementing development and underdevelopment activities for the purpose of empowering and involving women in the mainstream of development.


Purpose:

The Women's Affairs Directorate under the Ministry of Women and Children's Affairs, as an implementing institution, implements the women's development related activities undertaken by the government through 64 districts and 412 upazila offices for the development and empowerment of women at the field level.
